Customer to Dealership: Don't waste my time!

Once the blogger starts writing, you will be amazed at what you learn. It is some important stuff.
Do you feel like your time was just wasted? Think of the Internet lead that just came to your dealership. They received an auto-responder from the third party website to confirm that they are a good email address. 1 email.
Then that company sold the lead to one of the big aggregators like AutoUSA or Dealix. Those companies now send another automated email to make sure it is still a good email address before they sell it. 2 emails.
The aggregator then sells the lead to 2 to 3 dealerships. Each of these dealerships sends an automated response that says someone will get in back with them soon. 5 emails.
There could be more emails if a manufacturer got the lead first or the customer put their name into more than one site.
The result is Email Apathy.
Don't send our auto-responders during normal business hours. Be relevant to the customer. The first email with your dealership name is your first impression with the customer.
Make it count.
